1960's Design meets 21st Century Fashion.....

I tell Brian frequently that I wish I could live my life in the early 1960's. Mainly, I'd like to always be dressed like the girl in pink above.

And live in Palm Springs.....

And drive a 1960's Mercedes SL Roadster.

What A Simple Time.

The pink dress above is from the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2011 Lookbook which came out last month.

If you haven't yet taken a gander, here are some highlights.

The book looks suspiciously like it was set in Palm Springs at The Parker Hotel

My favorite part of the Parker, the gorgeous door framed by retro cinder blocks

If I had a 1960's mid-century modern house, I would totally paint the front doors a gloss orange and have white cinderblock panels like this....

And pictured here in the LV Cruise 2011 Lookbook

And here again in the LV lookbook.
I love how they incorporated the retro design of the hotel into the lookbook.
It fits the clothes perfectly.

The bright orange outdoor seat cushions are awesome. They could brighten any boring backyard.

I love this retro inspired cream epi leather handbag

This dress is fabulous, but the mahogany leather chesterfield sofa is AMAZING. Always wanted one like it.

I digress, but I saw a smaller version in powder blue in the Horchow catalogue yesterday and totally swooned over it. It's not a true chesterfield style, but I still love it.

So ladylike. SO 1960's.

I'm sorry, but who doesn't want LV luggage and a train case?

I love the wall behind her. That stone is very mid-century mod and it's gorgeous.
